I'M CONFUSED :o

I was walking around outside and I saw someone who looked really sad
So I said
Me: "Wow, what's the matter buddy?"
Sad person: "oh, uh hi um nothing I'm ok.."
Me: "BRO, I can tell when people are lying"
Sad person: "haha I guess you can!"
Me: "Yep! Now then, stop distracting me and tell a bro what's wrong with ya"
Sad person: "I don't know how to explain..it"
Me: "hmmmmmm......." *pulls colorful tied cloth out of sleeve*
Sad person: "I don't how you did that...I mean how did you get it to fit in your sleeves without it looking..weird?"
Me: "MAGIC BRO!"
Sad person: "That's so cool..I feel a little better now THANKS!"
And then I got hugged x"D

But I'm confused how me pulling cloth out of my sleeve made someone happy
